THE PROBLEM

A user may hold funds in crypto, but to pay for Netflix, Spotify, cloud services, salaries, or other recurring payments, they are often forced to move funds through multiple platforms, convert assets, interact with banks, and deal with unnecessary fees and delays.
For freelancers, startups, DAOs, and distributed teams, managing recurring payments across different countries can be even more challenging due to payment restrictions, banking limitations, and settlement delays.
The result is a fragmented experience where crypto and everyday payments remain disconnected.
SOLUTION
Rubbi solves this problem by providing a decentralized payment infrastructure that allows users to automate recurring financial activities directly on-chain.
Users can fund their Rubbi wallet with cryptocurrency by swapping their Arbitrum tokens and ETH to RUB tokens, generate a virtual payment card, subscribe to digital services, pay bills, and create recurring salary streams without depending on traditional banking rails.
Through smart contract automation, Rubbi handles the execution of recurring payments while maintaining transparency, security, and user ownership of funds.

During the Buildathon, I completed the core smart contract architecture and integrated it with both the frontend and backend infrastructure. I deployed and tested the Rubbi protocol on Arbitrum Sepolia, including Authentication, Rubbi Token (RUB), Subscription Service, Salary Streaming, Virtual Card infrastructure, and Swap contracts. I implemented the complete virtual card onboarding and management flow, allowing users to generate and manage virtual cards directly from the application. I also built the decentralized swap infrastructure, enabling users to swap ETH and ARB into RUB tokens through custom liquidity pools. To support this, I created and initialized ETH/RUB and ARB/RUB trading pairs and added initial liquidity to both pools. I integrated ZeroDev Account Abstraction to enable gasless transactions, allowing users to interact with the platform without holding native gas tokens. This significantly improves onboarding and user experience. On the frontend, I redesigned and improved the entire user interface and user journey, creating a clearer and more intuitive experience across onboarding, subscriptions, virtual cards, wallet management, salary streaming, and payments. Additionally, I completed the backend integration architecture, connecting smart contract interactions with backend services for virtual cards, subscriptions, salary streaming, transaction tracking, and payment automation.
Rubbi is currently being developed by the founding team without external funding. Development, infrastructure, and product execution have been self-funded while validating the product and preparing for user adoption. We are open to strategic partnerships, grants, accelerator programs, and future investment opportunities that align with our vision of building decentralized payment infrastructure for crypto-native users.
