Palpitada is live on Arbitrum since Dec/25 with a dual-engine prediction market β LMSR for cold-start liquidity + on-chain CLOB for liquid markets. Nobody else combines both. Add gasless EIP-712 transactions, native USDC settlement, $1 minimum bets, and a mobile-first PWA, and you get prediction markets that actually work on a phone β for everyone, everywhere. We're an Arbitrum Foundation grant recipient ($49k, Nethermind audit in progress). Beta in production, organic users, real volume. The hard tech is shipped: smart contracts, subgraph, EIP-712 gasless transactions, embedded wallets with social login, USDC settlement, PIX rails in Brazil β all built solo, all live on Arbitrum mainnet. Buildathon = scale what's already shipped.
Prediction markets hit a $20B+ moment in 2025 (Polymarket $9B, Kalshi $11B). But the supply side is stuck:
- π₯οΈ Desktop-first β none of the major players are usable as a daily-driver mobile app
- πΈ High minimums β $5-10 floor excludes anyone who doesn't already trade
- π Wallet-first onboarding β 90% of mainstream users drop off in step 1
- βοΈ Single-engine markets β Polymarket and Kalshi = orderbook only. Neither solves both cold-start and depth.
- π English-only, USD-only, US/UK-first β the global majority is unserved
Palpitada is the first to address all five in one product.
Live on Arbitrum One since December 2025:
- βοΈ Dual-engine market design β LMSR for cold-start liquidity (instant markets, no LP required) + on-chain CLOB for liquid markets (tight spreads, depth). No other prediction market combines both.
- β‘ Gasless EIP-712 transactions β users sign intent, we pay the gas (sub-cent on Arbitrum). Zero gas friction.
- π° $1 minimum bets β designed for mainstream users globally, not just whales
- π 60-second onboarding β social login (Google/Apple) + embedded wallet via Reown. No "what's a wallet" moment.
- π± USDC native settlement on Arbitrum β clean, instant, transparent
- π± Mobile-first PWA β designed for one-thumb usage. Installable like a native app.
- π§π· PIX rails in Brazil β instant local deposit/withdrawal, abstracted from crypto UX
- ποΈ Full stack shipped solo: smart contracts (Solidity/Foundry), subgraph (The Graph), backend (Node.js), frontend (Next.js + wagmi/viem)
- β Smart contracts completely audited by Nethermind (thanks to Arbitrum Foundation grant)
- π An unique system where users can suggest markets their own and get a share of the total volume transactioned on that market.
- β Already deployed and live β full stack on Arbitrum One since Dec 2025
- β Arbitrum Foundation grant recipient ($49k, Nethermind audit completed in April 2026) β the Foundation already validated our thesis and our tech
- β Sub-cent gas is non-negotiable β at $1 bet sizes, fees on L1 or most L2s break the unit economics. Arbitrum is the only chain where global, mobile-first, $1 bets work
- β Native account abstraction support β what makes gasless EIP-712 UX possible
- β USDC native bridge β clean settlement layer that maps to any local fiat
- β Institutional credibility β Robinhood Chain, BlackRock on Arbitrum matters as we expand into regulated markets
Internationalize Palpitada beyond Brazil: ship English + Spanish localization, multi-currency display (BRL/USD/MXN/ARS), and a geo-aware market discovery feed (Premier League, Liga MX, NBA, crypto/fx). Goal: open beta to first 3 international markets by end of Buildathon, with 100+ external users from the program ecosystem onboarded.
Pre-Seed / opening Seed conversations. Early conversations with strategic investors in LATAM and global Web3 funds. Backed by an Arbitrum Foundation grant ($49k) and self-funded development to date. Open to introductions through the Open House network.
